How do I know the level of my child?
Please refer to the guidelines in enrollment form and choose the level based on the child’s skills. Children will be assessed by their instructor on the first day of lessons to ensure placement and instruction are appropriate to their age and ability. Lesson Coordinators will track their progress to determine when they should advance.
How long does it normally take for a child to progress to the next level?
It depends entirely on the child. Some children progress quite quickly at first and then slow down. While others take a while to get the hang of swimming but once they do, they progress quickly through the levels.
Will a class be cancelled due to rain?
No. Swim lessons will occur rain or shine unless there is a lightning storm. In the event that a class is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, we will notify parents and the class will be rescheduled at a future date. Can I reschedule a session?
Yes. However, rescheduling is permitted by Friday prior to session start.
Wil I receive a refund if I cancel a lesson?
Cancellation permitted with partial refund (10% fee) if requested Friday prior to session start.
Are make-ups available for a missed lesson?
No refunds, credits, or make-up sessions given for missed classes.
What do I do if my child will miss a class due to being sick?
Please email lessons@westgatecabana.com and include the child’s name, lesson date, and time.
Can I designate other student for a semi-private lesson?
Yes. In the lesson form, you can designate another student for a semi-private class. The students all must be at the same level.
